Personality Plus for Parents Class: Part of being a great parent is understanding and respecting each child’s individuality. That happens only when you understand the four basic personality types that characterize all people − adults and children. This class will give you everything you need − personality questionnaires and profiles, principles of interaction for each parent/child personality combination, and quick reference charts and other helps. Meets Fridays, 8:15 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Book cost: $13. Questions? Contact Lisa Vann. The class shows you how to:

  • Determine personality types − your own and your family’s
  • Immediately apply practical insights
  • Understand how to most effectively parent each child
  • Gain joy and confidence in your parenting responsibilities
  • Bring peace and harmony to your home

DivorceCare and DivorceCare4Kids: You don’t have to go through it alone. Most people will tell you that separation and divorce are the most painful and stressful experiences they’ve ever faced. It’s a confusing time when you feel isolated and have lots of questions about issues you’ve never faced before. Children also experiencing divorce tell us they feel alone and helpless. Your children may feel scared, sad and confused. They may hide their feelings from you because they are worried about your happiness or because they do not know how to express their feelings appropriately. DC4K provides your children with a safe and neutral place to recognize and learn to share their feelings. Meets Wednesdays, 7-8:30 p.m. Please contact Phyllis Behrend, Connections.

GriefShare: If you or someone you know has lost a loved one recently or is having difficulty in dealing with grief (of any nature), Grief Share is a thirteen week program focusing on working through the stages of grief.  Grief Share meets on Wednesdays from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. beginning March 26, 2008 in the Teacher’s Lounge of the Educational Center. Please contact Phyllis Behrend, Connections.
