Slovakia is the newest age-appropriate mission at Salem. High school students and a parent have the opportunity to go on a week-long trip to Slovakia to work at a camp sharing the Gospel through Bible time while also educating the campers in uniquely American skills. It also gives the chance for high school students to travel internationally for the first time while having the option of a parent to travel with them for the family experience. For more information on next year's mission, you can contact Salem's Mission and Outreach Coordinator, Catherine Bluege, at email@example.com.
Each summer, Salem high school students can go to Honduras to conduct a vision clinic. At this professional clinic vision is tested, corrective lenses prescribed, and glasses are made up for hundreds of people each day. Our team partners with area pastors to provide evangelism so each person attending hears the gospel message.
Our teens also participate in one-on-one evangelism with the aid of translators, and may receive Christ as their Savior in the course of a week. By caring for the physical and spiritual needs of the people of Honduras, students will grow in their faith by serving others and verbalizing their faith in a different community. You can find out more about next summer's trip, you can contact Salem's Youth Director, Brett Bortnem, at firstname.lastname@example.org or Salem's Mission and Outreach Coordinator, Catherine Bluege, at email@example.com.
