Making All Things New Revelation 21:5
The apostle John, as he was sitting on the island of Patmos in a time of persecution of the church, wrote the book of Revelation. It was the view that God gave him of the end times, when God would come back in the clouds. At the very end of the book he writes these words, the words that we hang on to when life doesn’t seem to be going the way that we think it should go. What allows us to breathe is the fact that Jesus walked out of the grave, He ascended on high, He sits at the right hand of God, and He promises He’s coming back and here’s what He says, “I am making everything new” (Revelation 21:5). Whatever you have going on in your world, whatever it is you find yourself struggling with, we hang on to Jesus’ words, seeing through the generations that He does what He says He will do. He will make all things new. And now, as the people of God, never doubt but believe.
Is God worthy of our praise? He certainly is! And because He lives, we too will live.
