When Hurricane Eta slammed into Honduras as a Category 4 storm in November 2020, it centered on the area around San Pedro Sula. Residents of Chamelecón (population 50,000) who live on the river took the hardest hit. The Red Cross reported 2,000 families became homeless in that community. Salem has joined with faithful pastors and community leaders to help families rebuild their homes and their lives.
Salem periodically partners with local ministries to raise awareness about their programs and assist their ministries materially. When we do, Mission Boxes are available in the church lobby. Take a new box, fill it, and return it to benefit the local ministry. Additionally, you can help assemble new boxes or deliver the filled boxes. To volunteer to assist with this ministry, contact Jill Boldt at email@example.com.
