Welcome To Salem
Welcome! First time to Salem? We want to let you know what you can expect. 😀
We meet on Sundays at 9:00 and 10:45 am. You can also attend Church Online live at 10:45 am on Sundays or on-demand anytime during the week.
We are located just west of Tomball, TX right off of FM 2920. Our address is 22601 Lutheran Church Road, Tomball, TX 77377.
What can I expect?
Our services are about 70 minutes in length. Worship at Salem is sacramental, modern, reverent, and casual. A band and vocalists lead both services, and the 9:00 AM service also includes hymns played on our magnificent pipe organ. Holy Communion is typically offered on the second and fourth Sundays of the month.
Have Young Children?
We offer full children’s programming during both of our services. Give yourself and extra 5 to 10 minutes on your first Sunday to check them in using our secure check-in process.
We offer Bible study for adults during our 10:45 worship hour.

What We Believe
- The Bible is the authoritative, inerrant Word of God (2 Timothy 3:14-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5-6)
- The Word of God reveals His love for all people as He offers His Son, Jesus, as a sacrifice for our sin (John 3:16; Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21)
- No longer condemned by sin, God’s grace compels us to pursue a real life reflecting the character and message of Jesus (Romans 6:1-4; Ephesians 2:1-10; 1 John 2:1-6)
- Through Jesus, we discover our lives being filled with service, excellence, and courage (Joshua 1:6-9; 1 Corinthians 10:31; James 2:14-26)
- Our lives are openly transformed, responding to God’s command to step out of our comfort zones (Matthew 28:18-20; John 16:33; Acts 1:8)
Communion and Baptism
Communion is celebrated twice a month at Salem. The Bible teaches both The Lord’s Supper and Baptism are sacred gifts given to us by Jesus to His Church as means of grace through which God offers and extends forgiveness of sins and salvation. The visible elements of water, bread, and wine are directly connected by God’s Word to the Gospel of Christ. We approach Communion and Baptism with full confidence that neither of these sacraments are merely symbolic gestures, but most precious gifts from God by which we are welcomed into the Body of Christ.
We receive Communion rightly as baptized believers in simple faith, trusting Jesus’ words, “This is my body…This is my blood…” (Matthew 26:26-29).
Students 8th grade and older, having received appropriate teaching are welcome to join us at the Communion rail. Younger children are welcome to come forward with their family for a blessing.
Salem is a movement of people actively working to impact homes, communities—locally and globally—with the reality of Jesus Christ. Jesus’ truth is timeless and has sustained and motivated the followers of Christ around the world for thousands of years and here at Salem since 1851.
As we look at our current ministry snapshot, we see a historic church poised by God to touch real families in ways we can only imagine. We have always been a church poised and ready to invite people to join us as we pursue real life – a life grounded in the compelling grace of God in Jesus Christ. A grace that redeems, restores, and empowers people to live with a sense of purpose, hope, and passion.
Throughout Salem’s history, we have pursued a life based on Jesus’ teachings found in Scripture. We have embraced His reality of love, grace, hope, wholeness, and faith.
As Salem looks to ministry ahead, one thing is clear: God has given one Spirit to His one Church for one mission – to tell one story about the one Way, one Truth, and one Life. It just takes one conversation, one encounter, one relationship to transform one life from worthless to priceless, from powerless to unstoppable, from purposeless to tenacious.
